Job Search After Graduation

To be honest, I didn't do much job search because my secret is to keep in touch with Alumni and to make connections with the 2nd year students when your a 1st year full time student or 1st and 2nd part time student!!!!! This is crucial as many times recommendations are by far, better and faster :)

However, here are some tips:

1. I would not only focus on search engines such as "Indeed", because many non-profit agencies most of the times are not on search engines! Make sure to do your research on social service agencies in your nearby cities, and individually search their career sections for job listings.

2. Pretend you're a social worker already, and in need of resources for your family/client. When you do a search for agencies like this, you will be surprised how you will find many great agencies that are hiring!!

I want to wish everyone the best of luck and if anyone would like to connect with me, my email address:

Erika Cruz,MSW

Im currently working at Children’s Bureau as a Foster Care & Adoption Social Worker

Check the agency out at, always hiring for therapist(clinicians) MSW jobs!
